MVCP 26th March 2011

Male Ring Ouzel - In front of MVCP cafe, unfortunately only present for about one minute before being flushed by some kids...
Red Kite -found by Neil Wright as it drifted over sewage works towards Stewartby Lake.
Swallow -over the sewage works
Linnet - Near the visitors centre.

A successful day, along with the above I also had a Woodcock fly past me at the Long Meadow. A long awaited MVCP tick for me, taking my MVCP list to 186 species... :-) I also saw a Little Egret fly over the visitors centre towards the Pillinge about 8.30am, several Cetti's Warblers were singing around the park and there was a mixed group of Swallows and Sand Martins over Wetland 3 in the late afternoon.
