Slavonian Grebe
I had the same idea as Andy and tried my luck again this afternoon. It will look amazing in a few weeks time. Slavonian Grebe, Stewartby Lake, 14th April 2012

The Slavonian Grebe was present relatively close to the shore near the eastern corner of Stewartby Lake for its third day. With some decent light and the sun behind, it seemed a shame not to try a little digiscoping.

Two Great Northern Divers - Stewartby Lake
A short video clip of the two Great Northern Divers on Stewartby Lake. Taken using a Canon S95 compact camera attached to a Nikon ED50 (27x) scope via an adaptor. The birds were at a distance of about 500 yards and I was using approx 9x zoom on the camera.
